My client operates two of London’s most lauded Italian restaurants and is in advanced stages of planning a third with a view to open subsequent sites in 2019.
The Restaurant is fast-paced, simple and exceptionally popular, no bookings are taken, scoring a table always means waiting in line. For those who wait they are rewarded with a simple menu, which constantly changes. Pasta rolled right in front of your eyes, bread baked on-site, the chefs' prep vegetables and sauces in the open kitchen, it’s a fest for your eyes, this is easily the best Italian I’ve eaten outside of Italy.
The waiter’s fair and energy add to the atmosphere to the room, which is buzzing with chatter and excitement, their ingredients knowledge is encyclopedic, they live and breathe this food, so will need a Restaurant manager who shares the same passion.
Requirements for the Position of Restaurant Manager - London
The Role of Restaurant manager requires someone who is passionate about fresh, healthy, delicious food; you probably cook at home for your friends, you also probably steer clear of chain restaurants when dining, out favoring smaller independents, you welcome guests to the restaurant as you would to your home.
You have a good knowledge of the London restaurant scene, which you will have worked in for many years.
You have a good understanding of the business end of your trade, people development, marketing, compliance and financial savvy, which are all key to nailing this role.
Overall you will have bags of personality, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
