​Executive Head Chef - Cambridge - £40k

I am currently looking to recruit an experienced Executive Head Chef for my client's site in Cambridge.

My client is a leading independent Education Caterer and are recruiting someone to head up the food operation. This role is not for the fainthearted, with the kitchen catering for 2000 covers a day over a lunch service. As the Executive Head Chef, you will be responsible for a team of 15 staff ensuring the food remains of the highest standard, is always evolving and on trend, innovative and nutritious. You will be financially responsible and able to manage budget and costs.

As the Executive Head Chef, you will also be involved with school events as well as liaising with parents and teachers. This site hosts a number of high end events, so someone with a high level of hospitality and strong craft skills is required.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/ knowledge

·        Currently at Executive Head Chef or Head Chef level

·        Have a proven background or experience within B&I or independent education

·        A strong understanding of all Food Hygiene/ Health & Safety procedures

·        Willing to be involved in school activities and a strong background in events/ hospitality

·        Hold a current DBS

Working predominantly Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends to suit the demands of the business..
