Assistant Manager - Contract Catering - £33k

I am currently looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Manager for my client's site based in Essex. This role requires someone with a strong hospitality/ events background and a passion for developing the business.

My client is a leading independent Education Caterer and are recruiting for a stunning day school. This role isn’t for the faint hearted - the kitchen caters for over 800 covers a day. As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for a team of 25 staff ensuring training, development and management of the team. You will be financially responsible and able to manage budget and costs.

As the Assistant Manager, you will also be involved with school events as well as liaising with parents and teachers. This site hosts several high end events, so someone with strong experience in hospitality is required.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/ knowledge

·        Currently at a Deputy General Manager or Assistant Manager level

·        A strong understanding of all Food Hygiene/ Health & Safety procedures

·        Willing to be involved in school activities and a strong background in events/ hospitality

·        Hold a current DBS

You will be working 5 days out of 7, but with regular weekends off on a rotational basis.
